The official defect tables, searchable — DVSA's own wording and action codes (Dec 2024 edition). Covers 30 inspection areas: tyres · wheels · steering · brakes · suspension · mirrors · glass · lamps · indicators · couplings · fuel · exhaust · chassis · cab · wings · leaks and more.
Photo check isn't built yet
The idea: photograph the defect and have the app suggest the matching row for you to confirm. It hasn't been written, so there's nothing to buy, no price set and no subscription to join. This tab says what's planned — it isn't selling it.
You've used your 3 free checks
Unlock the full defect checker — every area, every finding, penalties included. One payment, no subscription, and future updates are included.
Your licence key can be activated 3 times — that is counted per key entry, not per device, so clearing your browser data means activating again. Run out and we'll add more, free.

You're unlocked — thank you
Every area, every finding, penalties included. Two things worth doing now:
1. Put it on your home screen. In your phone's browser menu, tap Add to Home Screen — then it's one tap at the vehicle instead of hunting for the link.
2. Keep the paper trail. A verdict is only half of it — the defect report is what protects you at audit. The printable packs are on the shop.
